I've been looking to upgrade my transmitter. Now looking at the Radiomaster TX16S. Was considering a Spektrum DX8 or NX8 channel but I have 13 flysky receivers. I am leaning heavily towards the Radiomaster for price and amount of channels/features. I really want to hear from someone that has used both. HELP!!! Thanks in advance.

We've used budget radios and name brand radios. In my experience so far, you get what you pay for! However, both will fly the plane. Sort of just depends on what type of experience you are looking for. If you've never owned a Spektrum radio, the first time you bind up a BNF UMX or Eflite, you'll scratch your head and think... wow.. I could have been doing it This Way all this time?!?!!? And you'll never go back! Here is a video of ours where we talk about the new Spektrum NX6, but I now also have the NX8.. I just couldn't resist! https://youtu.be/pIFICrUG8JY Also, if our input was of Any help at all, please consider ordering yours through this link if you go that route - https://bit.ly/2HokKAL We'll make a couple bucks if you use our link, but it won't cost you a single extra penny. Just a way of saying Thanks. Happy Flying LLoyd!
You make a great argument for the Spektrum. I sure would like to buy some of the PNP aircraft you mention. I do a lot of scratch building and I guess I could always keep my Flysky radio for experimental aircraft. BTW You guys led me here to RC Pilot on one of your latest videos. I'm a fan & subscriber 😊 I will certainly go through your link. If you have a chance check me out on YouTube. Thanks RC Saylors.

Invest in a good transmitter. It pays off in piece of mind and lack of plane pieces.
Great advice. I have quickly outgrown my budget $50 Flysky FS-i6X. It's a great beginner radio but now I'm ready. Thanks
How's about an FrSky X10S Express? These are excellent radios and the price has fallen with the debut of the new Tandem X20S (a radio not ready for prime time). I have both and see the X10S w/OpenTX more polished and far easier to use.
Thanks Ken I will check it out. I have over a dozen planes with AFHDS2A receivers. I have 3 aircraft that I would replace with nice expensive new receivers. The rest I want to keep installed
