I’ve used a few different flybarless systems over the years and some have been better than others. What I have discovered is that a pilot is looking for a “feel” and “connection “ to the helicopter. Each manufacturer has their unique methods to achieve this “connection “ and some are better than others. My choice is The Bavarian Demon which was developed for both 3D and scale applications. My point: when you find the FBL system that works for you, stick with it because it’s the best FBL system that works for YOU. Here’s an older video with with a test flight after setting up the Demon 3SX. Helicopter is 8ft long 1100mm metal blades and 46lbs. It was upgraded to the Demon Axon for the Jeti telemetry features prior to sale.

Excellent Mark !!
Truth! Matthias uses a 401 in combination with a HeliCommand Rigid V2 (old tech). I think that combo is quite good and the software (which I think is what sets BD apart) is decent (but not as good as the Axon software). I also believe the ideal setup is based in part on the size and weight of the machine. I have a Futaba CGY and will eventually try that in a large machine because I think Futaba handles the tail better than BD (I flew my Axon ships in rate mode and my HeliClassics do better in HH with the 401 so there’s that!
"HeliCommand Rigid V2" ... I have a couple for sale if anyone is looking to go this route 😄
Very nice and I love the sound of two blades. This seems quieter than the other 1:4 scale bell I've seen on youtube. Which mechanics are you using for this one?
The combination of the blades and HS contribute to the sound
Sorry, what is HS? lol.
HS = Head Speed
