Hi heli people.
Ok, I'm looking for a new project and would like to get my hands on a Hirobo EC120B. It looks like they are very hard to find as Hirobo is a dying breed in the scale. world I found one for sale in Singapore, but they have doubled in price from $3300 Singapore dollars to now $7742. Are they a collectors item now? $7742 is a little crazy for a 60-90 size heli. If Hirobo are not making scale fuselage then they may not need the EC120B mold/plug anymore.
Any info would be great thanks.
Cheers

The Hirobo kit # 0414-911 looks discontinued so not an ideal investment as flyer, whatever price. It's like buying an expensive watch, while not sure can be further maintened or repaired. Difference is that a watch can still have good value on the market, whatever state, which is much less obvious for RC hobby.
Price jump denotes speculation that the object is considered as rare and someone could need it for replacement parts or just refresh an existing setup. Or someone absolutely want this model for whatever reason, investment nor Hirobo fan.
Are you going to fly it? If so, the usual recommendation is to buy a model where all parts are serviceable. Less important for the fuselage, not expected to crash, but best if can be serviced too.
Remy, you are 100% correct in everything you have stated. The only other option is the Vario EC120B 1/4, but it's just to big and big $$$$$, It would be nice if Roban (if they are still around) or Fusuno did a 700 or 800 size EC120B in the 2-3K price band. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Thanks for your reply, I'll just go and have a whisky or 2 now lol.
I have to agree with Remy. For that kind of money, you can get a Roban and detail it bits or even a Vario (Chinook, Baby Lama, Baby Robinson, etc.)
Is Roban going to following Hirobo? I think the helicopter world in the mid price rang market is dying or getting harder to find. Don't get me wrong, Vario helicopters are great, I've had them in the past. It's a hard market out there in today's world I guess. Cheers.
@Nick - find link for good recap of EC- (not 120) fenestron Roban models. Search for EC-
Look full container from Roban recently received in Switzerland, this is not the first time... Strong investment and trust.

Hi. I have a ready to fly Hirobo EC-135 (electric) which I am willing to part with. Included is a brand new 4 blade scale head + swash which is still in its box. I have too many models and not enough time. PM if interested.
