Hi Guys...looking for help, advice, tips on setting up the scale Vario head on the Bell 47 that requires the 90 degree offset with an axon. Have the swashplate moving correctly according to simple diagram from Vario, not sure about axon software settings?? Any help would be appreciated. This one is completely new to me.. Thank you..

Are you referring to the 1:4 version (vario No 4000)? If so then instructions for R22 may help a bit... Will you keep the flybar? Usually Vario swash plate is set that the servos operate in a manner that the swash tilts the way you want to move the helicopter and the linkage from Swash to head corresponds to the input on the blade. In every case just do the "blade over the boom" test to make sure...
The fuselage kit number is 4700 and the head part number is 1005/47
No flybar, axon controller...
OK so what I see from the manual https://www.vario-helicopter.biz/de/d/manual/1005-47.pdf the inputs are offset for 90 degrees. I HAVE NOT set up this head myself so this is just speculation. There are four servos... you should just connect them to Axon in accordance to the diagram...
look at page 4 in the BD Axon manual. It shows four swash diagrams third one is 90 deg and fourth is 45 deg. With a regular head this would be a 45 deg setup (last picture) but with this head it "should" be a 90Deg setup (third picture). I hope this makes sense...
In any case do a "blade over the boom test before you attempt the hover....
I think I'm in the right direction..did the maiden today ..shes a little soft..thats easy an fix..now I just have to spend time with her and learn her
Thank you for your comments..I do appreciate your responding
Awesome job! Out of my personal curiosity, how did you fix it? I was looking at Axon manual for phasing but did not spot it...
Phasing was done as usual after the servo output was reconfigured for the 90° offset...thats how I did it.??? Seems to fly solid..gains are a little low now. I'll fight tune next..
