When It’s Too Hot to Fly
For Denver, 10 days of 95+ heat is noteworthy and enough to keep us away from the field (along with wildfires that closed the air space to make way for tankers and fire helis)! That means shop time!
I have been using the time for maintenance! Lube, bolt tightening, hangar rash touch up and general systems checks.
WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING? 🤔

Well....same here south from where you are is quite hot an humid to be outside and enjoy flying around; so I'm doing some maintenance too (repair maintenance after a tail strike), but i don't like this kind of maintenance. LOL
Between the heat and the rain, not a lot of flying going on for me. Comanche need a little work and 67 is good to go. Building a couple S-92s and adding new AC to the shop. Working to have things ready for the Southern Scale Challenge in Hindsville GA the first week of September. The tropical storm is heading this was from the Gulf so another rained out weekend however that is good for shop time which I desperately need.
