Roban Scale Hekicopters
Hello, I have 3 Vario scale helicopters. Since retirement, I can no longer afford the prices Vario is asking for their scale kits. I have had Roban before and was not fond of their kits, quality and virtually no part support! Does anyone know if their quality has improved? I had the AS 350 which ate belts and chewed up gears. I also had the 700 cobra which the gel coating on the outside started to peel off. Has anyone else had these problems? I want another cobra but have no idea if their quality has improved drastically.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Hi Michael, I reviewed one of the first models Roban made back in 2012 and I was concerned about the quality. They have definitely improved and there are many hundreds of satisfied pilots. I spoke to Michael Binder, Roban's founder and CEO last week and I can tell you that they are constantly looking to improve the product, keep up with demand and innovate. They will be a big sponsor of HeliStorm 2025 and you'll get a chance to meet them in person and see their newest tech.
