Today we had a try-on at SCALE PRINT. the turbine cover for the Vario Lama with a Jakadowsky turbine. Some small adjustments need to be done but at least everything fits well. One straight Festo connector needs to be exchanged with a 90° connector. The 3D printed rubber pipes which are included in the set were not installed today. Stefan, I just bought Joe Howard's Starwood Lama with standard Jako. Will this work on that or is that Lama too small? Also wondering whether the shroud will change the heat dynamics on the turbine or is it no different from having it inside a fuselage?
for the turbine it is no problem. I still have to work a little bit to make my cover more heat resistant in one area were the turbine is hot. I will make some tests in the next days together with the customer who bought this first turbine cover.
Heat shield should do it!
In general the cover for the Starwood Lama will be the same at the end. Dur to the reason that I have some more requests for this size of Lama I am just started to work it out with a customer here in Europe. The difference will be only the supports which will hold the cover. I hope i will not forget to make it here also public when i am ready. please check my homepage from time to time www.scale-print.de
