Printing and assembly of the mechanics
Aug 17, 2023
The print was made in PLA with a layer height of 0.2, it took approximately 50 hours to print all the parts. I'm still adjusting the details. Thanks Dan for the Pics

Very nice
Nice looking heli 👍👍👍
Dang,
That's pretty sweet.
Nice indeed and 3D printing is a definitive trend. For such fuselage, what are the pro and cons?
Per example: cost, weight, sound, ground resonnance, assembling all printed parts, preparation before painting, shock resistance, etc. Any thoughts?
Pro : you will always be able to make another copy 😜
Very nice, I like the colour combination
Now I'm putting together the Red Airwolf version
Looks great. Nicely done. 😊
Thanks.
Looks great. One idea is to paint also the blades for tracking, nice looking in flight and eventually match with the fuselage. Find picture of real heli as example. You would use same yellow as the fuselage.
Note: RAL #1003 (traffic yellow) for Helitec (I use 1021 Colza to fit with weathering)
Blue thender 450
Great addition to the fleet!!
I am enlarging it to use the 500 mechanics
Still interested to know the approx weight of a 3D printed fuse and any other benefits vs fiberglass - is it per ex. lighter? (average of course as many factors).
