HeliStorm™ 2025 - A New Paradigm

From May 29 through June 1 of 2025, the National Museum of the United States Air Force played host to an innovative new recruiting experience. HeliStorm® 2025 brought together students, aviation schools, military branches and helicopter industry leaders (Airbus Helicopters, Bell Textron, Leonardo Helicopters & GE Aerospace) to witness and engage with nearly 100 radio-control (“RC”) scale helicopter pilots and more than 150 models competing and flying on the front grounds of the historic museum in Dayton, Ohio. Leveraging an up-close immersion into the realm of scale model helicopters, HeliStorm™ executed its proof-of-concept; a universally exciting

and inspiring experience that far exceeds that of static displays and glossy promotional material typical of industry recruiting events. It is this type ofemotional impact that we believe can not only transform how recruitment is done in the vertical-lift industry, but also move minds within state legislatures. It doesn’t require a leap of faith to imagine educators exposed to HeliStorm™ becoming inspired to integrate aerospace modules into their STEM curricula and further incorporate aviation into their students’ sphere of learning. More importantly, HeliStorm™ reaches students and parents -- the minds we mus t inspi r e i f we expect the status quo to change. By combining into a single forum both access to an aviation future and an accessible and exciting discipline to carry them there, the HeliStorm™ formula will transform how recruiting is done in the vertical-lift industry.

Enter HeliStorm™, a nonprofit based in Littleton, Colorado with a bold vision and executable blueprint for elevating the vertical-lift industry in the minds and hearts of students, educators and parents.
