Hey there👋 I’m new to the group and turbine heli’s

I picked this up half built and am gonna dig in as far backwards to where I feel comfortable to start building forward again. Wish me luck 🚁🤪

Now that I’ve taken mechanics out, I’m back to the beginning.
Only a few pieces of wood to install.

First thing is retract’s…

The retracts are in but do not work proper.

This retract mount is at an angle.
Mechanism ( trail end of link) doesn’t align tru.

I will have to (try to) shim.

Mechanics assembly is square and links are tru
3/16” Shim to get it level
Wheel hits wood halfway collapsed
Will have to shave it

Also going to use stainless button head screws instead of set screws
I will make them as close to flush as possible

Now working great

I believe I’m ready for mechanics.
All wooden ribs are in.
Adding some carbon fiber @ vertical wood joints and top mechanics mount.
Metal rods align with ribs n mounts.
Retract’s working good with ease.
Will paint when it warms up enough.

not sure where to put electronics…
No doors or access panels.
Could use some ideas.

I believe the paint job is for not because I will have to glue together with tail piece.
Also, I will have to add the lights in.
Then patch and paint, of course.
