OMP M2 conversion of 1:32 scale Revell UH-1 Huey

May 21, 2025

While most of you are doing BIG helis, I've always been attracted to the other end of the "scale" as it were. Over the past ten years, I've taken four Revell plastic scale model helis and inserted heli mechanics to make inexpensive and great looking small scale helis.

My first three (Bell-47, Sikorski H-34 and the Huey Hog) used Eflite MCPX BL mechanics. My latest effort, the 1:32 scale Revell UH-1 Huey uses OMP M2 mechanics and a 3D printed sub chassis for a neat and clean install. It flies great.... pretty much exactly like the pod and boom M2. I fly seven minutes to 25% on the 700mAH Gens Ace battery.
