“And Then There were 2

May 25, 2026

UIH,

With the wonderful rainy weather here in Sunny Zoo York the goal was to get the base IP for S/N 003 wrapped up. I made a minor adjustment to the glare shield by adding an additional layer of 6 oz fabric between the 2 layers of 4oz fabric. It stiffened it up a touch and happy with the results.

Nice seeing both next to each other. Hope to get the mount plate cut for the display controllers later today.

A few pics to check out.

Thanks for dropping by,

Butch. .

Its a static issue.

UIH,

Sunday May 31st 2026. It is actually a nice day to get to the field. For some flights. Have the 412, S-67 and Urykay all loaded up and ready to move out. Zoo York and the surrounding area was blessed with 20+ mph winds yesterday therefore was able to take advantage of another shop day.

I have been drawing the Martin-Baker cockpit seats which are moving along nicely. I was able to make the doublers for the pitot tubes that came out real nice. The pitot head bases require sanding to get the angle correct and were drawn knowing this would be the case. The documentation shows the doubler over a small area on the chin windows. They came out looking pretty nice.

Here are a few pics of the progress.

Butch.

Sometime you just….

Jun 5, 2026

Uih,

Last night after cleaning up my shop making room for another customers model, I took a look at the progress on my 92. Sometimes you just need to sit back and smell the coffee for a moment and think to yourself “How did I get Here”.

There is lots more to go.

A couple pics.

“Poseidon took my Boat”

Jul 7, 2026

UIH,

After several weeks of assembling a couple Roban kit my VH-92 has made it back to the front of the line. Now to figure out where I left off.

Much of the exterior detail less rivets is pretty much finished. The MGB oil cooler exhaust assemble is not installed along with all the access panel, hinges, latches and do-dads here and there but that will not stop me from re-assembly and prep for Hinesville later this year. I will continue the detail process but work to keep the heli in flight status.

I am looking forward to flying the VH again soon. It will get another coat of primer before re-assembly for a even finish. I am sure it will take a few weeks to prep for flight but will keep you folks posted on the progress.

A few pics of it moving from a short storage slot to the front line position. Time to get “crackalackin”

Thanks for dropping by,

Butch.
