The Airforce Museum has hundreds of full size aircrafts, including helis. @michael Kranitz, Dallas is not central like Ohio, where you can attract pilots from both coasts.

I think if everything works out, this is as far as I can take this. Next is to create an instruction manual for the DIY version so that customers have the option to purchase this as a kit and build separate components (nose sensor or gun) themselves. Currently very time consuming for me to build...

It was a static display project, I've never flown it with the outboard passenger. His seat- the ammo bay door is supported by 2 tension cables, therefore not a rigid platform. I'm afraid he'll be bouncing up and down during flight, too risky.

I tried building my Cobra gun using a similar method years ago. This requires highly precise machining skills because a 1 mm deviation on the gun end will result in a visible rotational wobble on the nozzle end as the barrels spin. Sadly, I lacked this skills. I have since gone to 3d modeling and...

Uwe Behr, Wow, you FDM printed a landing strut and skid! What size is the heli? How can it be strong enough to support the heli without flexing? The square tube strut is a signature feature of the UH1Y, not easy to make with metal. There's a guy in UK who managed to bend these tubing to perfection.
