All good points, will address! Thanks so much.

Individually would be great. Very worthwhile comments. So appreciated.

Thanks, will take any advice I can get. I can't enlarge the images so that I can read them. I can sort of read the lower right one. The antenna wires for the rx you are referring to are for the switch so not really that important. Both of the other receiver antennas are at right angles to one...

This might help. It's the Build Report which you can access from the Vario site on the 300C Page (a lot of general info but not really specific build guidlines). and there is this which should be much more helpful (old build but still useful) - where you will look up the helicopter build you want...

No, this is a dummy turbine for electric. Yours is Turbine, so different. I believe I saw a cover for a turbine exhaust somewhere but can't remember where.

Those are 3D custom printed. I guess I could get a few closeup shots and provide measurements. Please point out exactly what you are referring to.

It works well but let's see how the 3D printed retainers work. If they work this should look way more tidy.

I guess I would be lying if I said I had no interest in the Lama. Hahahaha! I now have the Baby Lama, Lama 1.8 and will have the Starwood Lama that I sold 6 years ago back very shortly.

Thanks, Butch and Klem. I think I have it figured out. At this point I have Dual Path - 2 R3's and a R3 switch- both sats working and show 4 antennas - Ext port to Ikon2 - Ikon2 takes 8 channels (assigned 1-8) I then assigned 9 and 10 to servos and controllers and both work properly. I was hoping...

I found a video that explains it all I think. Minute 2:30 talks about EX Bus from CB200 and Servos for other ports.

Ok, thanks Butch. I hope I am on the right track. As I mentioned, I have no problem setting up a basic 3D Heli. For example, I have one set up using EX Bus to Ikon2 and plugged the R3 from Ext. to the right port on the RX and all works fine. What I am unable to do so far is assign the 3 additional...

Thanks for the info, Here is where I am at. I bound 2 R3/RSW's to my CB200 and bound another R3 for my switch. All good so far. Switch works and all 4 antennae have full signal. I was on my way into the CB200 in Device Explorer and it says that the CB200 needs updating and it wouldn't let me go any...

If you decide to go that route there is a bit to learn about tube sizing. There are a few places where I could have gone lighter (thinner wall) and saved me a bit of weight and also would have made shaping a bit easier. I would be more than willing to share my experiences.

Like you, I had never done it before but it's just too cool to get it to temp, touch it with a bit of rod and watch it do it's magic flow (if you have a good tight joint that is).

I will post follow up photos as I move forward. I'm not sad about it because its taking me to a place I have never been before. The hobby is expensive and we have to live with that part. The fun is finding and solving workarounds for development flaws or thoughts an individual might think is a...

An absolutely fantastic build, no damage whatsoever. Peanuts were a bitch to work with though. I had to unpack everything before bringing it across the border to Canada. BTW, Michael did a great job building the Lama and I look forward to taking it to its completion.

I now have the BrainCube set up so that it just comes on with a switch inside the cockpit, all set up independent of the receiver (no tx switch required). I connected a "Y" lead to the Red and Black wire of the BrainCube and from one port to a switched battery with the other "Y" port going to the...

Hi Romeo, It's been a long time since we last had a chat. I am now back in the hobby after a 4-5 year lay off and really look forward to getting back into Scale. I sold my Starwood Lama when I left the hobby and have since picked up a Vario Baby Lama which I hope to maiden this week. I also hope to...

Worked perfectly with all 5 led's. Next is to figure out why they are not getting power from the BrainCube.

Thank goodness for that. At $20 CDN each I didn't want to have to replace them. I am doing a test using my Spektrum ix14 bound to a AR620 with power coming from a 2S pack and run off the gear channel set to switch "C". I get the lights on the BrainCube controller flashing correctly 1=5x, 2=1x, 3=2x...
