Hello! I am working on an electric conversion of an old Schluter Cobra AH-1, and the project has been progressing quite nicely. Currently, I am testing the servos and making any necessary adjustments, snd hopefully I will be able to do tail trimming and hover testing very soon.
Would be nice to connect with someone that has done some similar project and exchange some thoughts. Below is a link to a Youtube video showing startup testing, and test of the installed sound module.

Welcome to the site Andreas! We are just getting off the ground here but I will see if we can connect you with someone!
Thanks a lot, nice to be part of this community!
Hello Andreas I just converted a Schluter Champion to electric and installed the mechanics in a BK117. Its still an ongoing project but the heli is flying so let me know if any questions. 😁
Looks really nice! 😊 I am in the stage of preparing for initial flight testing, so trying to figure out the best and most safest approach.
Well I am a bit further ahead but not that far. My first test was spooling up without blades and since nothing fell off then I did the second but just hover to check that everything worked. Third was out at the field and some easy flying. One issue I had was that the helicopter was spinning around slowly by itself so I mechanically increased the pitch to compensate. Maybe something I need to change in gyro but it was easier to do so.
