OK boys and girls, here is today's dilemma. Do you spend $100 on a new swash driver/follower or not? Answer below after watching the video. After I get 10+ comments, I'll tell you how I resolved it.

I don't know if you have had the swash follower apart for any reason. Is it possible that the link is backwards? To me it seems to be worn/ oversized and I would replace it. Curious to see your fix.
The ball link is logo OUT. 😊
For the price of a ball/link, even if it's 100.00, for me it would be a no brainer to replace, when compared to the investment of the entire helicopter, the piece of mind alone, for me, would be worth the cost. Having said that, could the ball itself be worn, I know that is rare, especially with that much play, but you never know, having been involved with model and full size helicopters for over 30 years I have seen a lot of "That can't happen".
I would try the link on another ball to make sure it’s the plastic and not the metal ball. If it’s the plastic link, get a new link if they sell just that part.
Had the same issue with the same follower on the BK. Yours does seems not to have ANY tendency to stay on the ball. Mine had a wee bit. My solution was to cut to size and install a short spring that applied only enough pressure to resist the link inward off the ball.
I have since changed to another type of follower with a much more positive connection.
Who makes the new follower?
I solved the issue (before I posted this originally) by ordering an ENTIRELY new follower until Mark Smith offered to send just the link and save me 90 bucks! Now I just have to figure out how to remove the stubborn flathead screws holding the follower assembly together so I can replace the link! I would NEVER risk an expensive heli even if the assembly cost $100.
I was interested to see how people would respond and I was interested to see whether people would separate themselves from Facebook for 45 seconds to interact with ScaleHeliPilot. : )
I would try using a “Plastic Linkage Ball Reamer Tool” to work the link or maybe find a link ball that fits the link better.
I actually have one!! I’ve only used it to enlarge links though.
