Agusta 109S
Starting A Winter Project
I just got my winter project on the bench. I may be a bit premature, but since I live in northern Minnesota, maybe not.
Chapter 1 here is just a teaser, with a few photos. This will be my first scale build, and appreciate any tips and advice as the project continues.
The fuselage is an old Thunder Tiger fuse, that had Raptor 90 mechanics in it.
I will be removing the mechanics, and replacing them with a Synergy E5 Super Stretch I have, that doesn't get much airtime anymore.
I am a paid-on-call firefighter in my town, and we often work with air medical services. I will by basing my model off of a heli that is stationed nearby. The staff there have been gracious enough to grant me access to get detailed pictures, measurements, and pretty much anything else I may need.
The ultimate goal is to compete in Nationals with this heli. I already compete in the FAI side, and have wanted to do a scale project for quite some time.
Enjoy the pictures, the plan for the next chapter at this point will be updating the mechanics for the retracts. STAY TUNED.
