I'm sharing the Blue Thunder project for a 500 engine with a brushless tail rotor.
The modeling process took me approximately two months. A friend did the 3D printing and assembly.

I've been thinking about a working miniature paint stencil. A 3D printer is the key to this. However, it needs to be printed very thinly, about 0.2mm. I then applied a spray adhesive to the back so that the paint doesn't bleed through it later.

Today I finished my trade fair model. An interior for a Vario Bell 429 on a scale of 1:5. You can probably see that I've been working with luxury interiors for the last 30 years in my previous job 🙂

New in the program from today is the interior and equipment for the rear section of a rescue helicopter (in this case an H145 from Vario scale 1:5 in real scale 1:6). As always, all cushions are printed from rubber (TPU) by SCALE PRINT.

After I took a scan from the Vario Bell 429 on Saturday at Heli-Factory I have started to design the cockpit. The customer would like to have the business version including 5 seats in the back. To get it 100% scale the frames which are running in length direction needs to be positioned a little bit closer.

I have just completed the first cockpit for the 1:4 Jet Ranger. This is exactly tailored to the Vario model. For sure it will be availble in any other scale.

3D printers: Asking the group for their current recommendations on 3D printers. I’m inching forward on getting one. I use Fusion360 on my mill. Can I assume Fusion360 will push out programming for most of them?

For the Alouette III I have now constructed a winch. This can be made functional with a winch that must be mounted in the fuselage.

For the Starwood Lama (electric version) there is now also a dummy turbine on a scale of 1:5. At the request of a customer I have constructed a cover in the front area which completely covers the engine with the mounts.

Assembly turbine dummy kit for a 1/4 scale Alouette II and some more additional parts. The rubber hoses are still in the printer or will be measured by the customer after the first assembly of all parts but are also part of the kit.

Today I finished the cockpit for Volker Jung's K-Max 1200. Tomorrow it goes to the post office and if everything works out, we can see the nice piece next weekend in Belgium at the Francis Scalemeeting.

As already announced, the carrier for various equipment for the Hughes 500 is now available in the store. The bracket is available individually or as a package with the Spectrolab and a FLIR.

Just finished 3D modeling the belt buckles for the Roban size Huey. With a little light green ribbon for belts these will look great.

Just finished up painting the prototype replacement rocket launcher ends. These little upgrades make a big difference. The before and after side by side.

Après plusieurs hélicoptères Vario (Bell230, Cobra, Lama, MD500E, Ecureuil) j'ai décidé de tester un modèle Roban.
J'ai choisi le UH-1D série 800.
Malgré que la qualité de soit pas au niveau de Vario on peut en sortir quelque chose de sympa après quelques modifications.

For all fans of the NH 90 there are now lots of add-on parts and there will be some more to come. I designed these for a customer in 1:4.6 scale, but the scan of the fuselage was originally from the Graupner NH90 in 1:8.9 scale, so all the parts will be available in that scale if needed.

The first two cockpits for a BK 117 in 1:7,6 scale (for www.scale-helikopter-service.com ) now finished. Instruments are backlit as in almost all of my cockpits and the seat pads are printed in rubber (TPU) using the laser sintering process.

I have just finished a business pilot seat for the Bell 429 in 1:3,5 scale. The upholstery is printed from rubber as usual. The rails are recessed into the floor like the original.

Here is a cockpit for a Vario Hughes 500D in 1/4 (Vario Catalogue 1/5) scale. The seats have the appropriate cut outs for the PHT3. The instruments are of course backlit.

I just assembled a wiper for the H145 in scale 1/4.8. The wiper lip is of course printed from rubber and glued on after painting.

The cockpits for the MilMi 24 from Heliclassics are now finished and I will hand them over this weekend. There are a total of 25 white LED's for backlighting and 28 LED's in different colors in the front panels. The instrument rings are individually printed and insert after painting the panels turquoise. The seat cushions are printed in rubber (TPU) as usual.

Last week I delivered a cockpit for BO105 in scale 1:4 from Heli-Factory. Cockpit and seats are copied from the original at the request of the customer. The rear seat I will make next, I'm still waiting for the original pictures.

For the end of this year I made one more part for the Roban fans. This is the step framing for the 700 Bell 429 (scale 1:7). It will be installed as the original one with foru brackets underneath the fuselage.

At the Heli-Factory (www.heli-factory.com) another Alouette II in 1:4 scale has been completed. A lot of scale parts from SCALE PRINT were used. Among other things, the turbine fairing of the Jakadofsky turbine. The complete interior is also from SCALE PRINT.

Here is another customer request. A cockpit of the EC 145 / EC 135 where the cockpit dome was shortened. It also exists in the original. I think to get space to transport a stretcher or other long objects.

Now the first parts for the AH-1 Cobra in 1:6,2 scale (Baumann). The missile launcher is designed so that the parts can be positively plugged together with a little glue. Some of the parts are also screwed together.

The cockpit for the Vario Airwolf in 1:5 scale is now also painted and the displays are mounted.

A little bit unusual. This winch for the Bell 204 is rarely seen, but it is a customer request and the customer is king. The Bell in scale 1/5 is currently under construction at the Heli-Factory.

For the Vario EC 120 in 1:4 scale, I drew the windshield wipers at the request of a customer. The wiper lip is of course printed from rubber

Especially for the Alouette II, I have constructed another shock absorber at the request of a customer. This has 5 rings less than the Lama's shock damper and the set also includes the lower clamp as well.

For the Alouette II in scale 1/4 I drew the oval antenna on the cockpit which is mounted on some military versions. The lamp base (in overlength) is also part of the set and is prepared to integrate an LED. The struts still need to be cut from length and adapted to the cockpit. Tubes are included with the set.

For a US customer I have constructed the cockpit for the Vario Airwolf M.1:5. This version is prepared to take 3 large displays from Kai Neugebauer . The green part is the mount for the nose wheel and is included with the hull manufacturer's kit.

For the Lama, the side cargo basket is now available as a kit. All parts are printed in plastic and weigh 29g without wire mesh. The dimensions can be shortened as desired in all directions.

For the 1:4 scale AS 350, the matching ski basket is now available as an assembly set including all brackets.

Today we had a try-on at SCALE PRINT. the turbine cover for the Vario Lama with a Jakadowsky turbine. Some small adjustments need to be done but at least everything fits well. One straight Festo connector needs to be exchanged with a 90° connector. The 3D printed rubber pipes which are included in the set were not installed today. The new functional hook which includes a servo is working and had past the testing phase. It works without any problem with 2kg weight.

Some small items before I will start my next bigger project. I have now a patrol can and the landing spot lights for the Robinson R22. In scale 1:3.5 some LED lights from Innoflying will fit. Other scales needs to work out if there is a request.
