Happy New Year my friends.

Over the Christmas Holidays I was able to get a lot of work done cutting bulkheads and working to get the structural design finalized and to check the fit of each part of the puzzle. I think my SC had about 14+ hours of run time cutting structure for #002 & #003 plus parts for subs.

Everything came out very nice with one exception. The aft bulkhead for the MLG actuator mount rails was drawn incorrectly. Both sides are equally off .5”. Oops.!!! That may have been the night “Coopers Daughter” happened by.

Fortunately it was not a big issue to adjust and re route the bulkhead for the perfect fit.

Some time you never really know just how things fit together even after everything has been mocked-up and checked for fit. The mechanic mount rail sit very high in the structure. The swash sits above the upper cowlings. Placing the mechanics high in the fuse will keep the main shaft as short as possible and allow a a ton of space in the cabin section to transport what ever one wishes to transport.

Looks like another wet and cold weekend in the Zoo York so hope for many hours in the shop. The goal is to have the cabin structure all cut and fit together outside of the fuse.

We will see if that can be accomplished.

Happy New Year and Thanks for for dropping by,

UIH,

B.
