Here are 40 full scale photos I took today of the remainder of the last Canadian Lama in operation. Sadly it had a mishap a couple of wees ago so now Canada no longer has any. These are now just skeletons. These are real working Lama's so nothing fancy here. These were used for fertilizing British Columbia forests.

These will be used by me to assist in achieving the best possible detail in the Vario Lama 1.8 that I am presently building.

I have just completed a dummy turbine for the Lama in 1:6 scale. This can of course be supplied in any scale.

Here I constructed a bubble window for the Vario AS350 for a nice customer and then deep-drawn it myself. I converted a domestic waterworks (cut out the membrane and screwed on a vacuum meter) and connected a small vacuum pump. I quickly cut the thermoforming box out of multiplex and screwed it together. I then warm the clamped thermoforming material in the oven and then quickly place it over the thermoforming model. Open the ball valve and after a few attempts, it works :-). If someone needs such a bubble window for his model, he only has to send me the door for scanning and of course dig a little deeper into his pocket as the construction including scanning is a considerable amount of time.

I’m looking for options for a working cargo hook in 1/5 scale. Thus far, I know of the following that are printed, however I am looking for ones that are more robust, perhaps made of aluminum.

As most of you know the Roban models do not have too many scale details for the interior so I scratch built some in 3D. First off I made seat backs for all the seats. That was pretty much all I wanted to do but me being a modeller and with time on my hands I went a bit overboard.
The seat belts were made from duct tape cut into small straps. In retrospect that wasn't a good medium for the paint didn't stick very well and would flake off if handled too much. The seat belt buckles were 3D printed from a file from Thingverse of a full scale seat belt shrunk dow from 100% to 10% giving me the ideal size. The front cockpit side vent window frames were from a Bell 206 profile shrunk down from another file printed in flexible TPU to conform with the outside curvature of the window and affixed with very thin clear double back tape because who hates glue blobs on windows!
Small grab handles were also printed and were modeled from full size grab handles for cars and.matched as closely to the 429. Callie Graphics provided the seat graphics. Head sets were 3D printed from full scale head sets reduced down for scale fitment.
I could go on and on but nice weather is calling me so I'm off to the field! I'll be posting videos on my YouTube channel Perry F.@ret737 as my full maiden with the 429 with interior so stay tuned.
Please enjoy the pics I have provided and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
I'm looking for a pair of inflatable floats for 450 to 500 size helicopters. I wanted them for this winter for flying on packed snow. Any help would be appreciative.
I am Ken Luo from Guangzhou China, I built ch46 scale helicopter, it is successful, I am happy to share it with you here.

Vario conversion to the 212S model replicating a full scale flying locally. Lots of modifications and upgrades from a twin to a single. Should be flying soon on 12S. Still working on the little details from full scale pics.

How hot has it been in Europe? This hot. This is the window set I received today from Germany. Completely unrecognizable.

Hey guys just wanted to show you a slight modification I did with my Vario Trex Lama, specifically to the turbine. Having never seen the actual turbine on a lama helicopter before, I assumed that it's turbine would work just like most turbines for example on those Air force jets. So, after building the model turbine I then installed a center burner simulated afterburner LED light system, from the rcgreek.com at the rear of the model.
These afterburner LEDs are designed to run off of 7.2 volts and most are proportionally linked to the throttle channel. First thing.. 7.2 volts makes this light extremely and unrealistically bright. Additionally these units are designed to have air running over the lights to cool them down which is impossible inside of a turbine. As a compromise I use the resistor and cut the power down to 5 volts thereby reducing the brightness and lowering the heat.
I linked mine to the throttle channel however if you're using idle up one or idle up to as a starting point the light will come on at its full brightness in that configuration. To make it somewhat more realistic I start the heli in normal mode with very slight taps of up throttle enough to start the lights blinking but not enough to start the motor turning.. when that is linked to the sound system I use the blinking lights to simulate the churning up of the turbine and eventually give enough throttle to turn the blades and eventually go into idle up one.
There's two videos I have up of this. One of the videos, the close up... Some people have said that the the light is too bright and distracting.. in reality it really isn't. I simply chose to videotape the heli on the ground at dusk in order to accentuate the light.
I never fly my heli at dusk, my eyes aren't that great if you look at the other video of it flying during the day that is a more realistic portrayal of the intensity of the light, or the lack thereof. It was not until I finished building this thing that someone told me that there is no emitting of light from the turbine on a real lama.. so to that extent I guess this add-on is not technically scale, but I like it... So it will stay. 🙂
Got my 600 size UH-1N flying great after changing a few items like, 690 main blades , got rid of the 1200kv motor and installed a 520kv motor. Running on 12S .
I had to hit the drawing board and recalculated the formula to bring the headspeed down to 1388 rpm with some help from Butch W.

I just assembled a wiper for the H145 in scale 1/4.8. The wiper lip is of course printed from rubber and glued on after painting.

At the Heli-Factory (www.heli-factory.com) another Alouette II in 1:4 scale has been completed. A lot of scale parts from SCALE PRINT were used. Among other things, the turbine fairing of the Jakadofsky turbine. The complete interior is also from SCALE PRINT.
Delivery for sure world wide :-)

For the Vario EC 120 in 1:4 scale, I drew the windshield wipers at the request of a customer. The wiper lip is of course printed from rubber
SCALE PRINT2 Stück Schockdämpfer Alouette II mit Schelle
Especially for the Alouette II, I have constructed another shock absorber at the request of a customer. This has 5 rings less than the Lama's shock damper and the set also includes the lower clamp as well.
For the Alouette II in scale 1/4 I drew the oval antenna on the cockpit which is mounted on some military versions. The lamp base (in overlength) is also part of the set and is prepared to integrate an LED. The struts still need to be cut from length and adapted to the cockpit. Tubes are included with the set.

I have one more. Also an American wish. For the XL Jet Ranger from Vario in 1:4 scale, I designed the emergency floats on the skids. The containers of the floats are printed out of rubber which can then be painted in any color. The necessary skid extension in the back is included and also the entry steps on both sides, air pressure tank and the end plugs in the front on the skid tubes. Of course...

For the big Hughes 500 from Vario I have just constructed new skid fairings with the corresponding flanges for a customer. This is the short version of the legs.
This morning I got the matching photo of the wheels from an Alouette II. I have adapted the drawing to it once again. Now it is correctly scale.

Just completed this Bell 222 scale of Mercy Air in LĂ s Vegas. Trex 700 E DFC mechanics fit perfectly into a funkey unfinished fuse. Only mod was building a base plate to mount electrics.
2-6 cell 5000 batteries run the motor with a 2500mAh 2 cell on the receiver. Rattle can paint. Decals are made by myself either by hand or cutter. Front landing light handmade and works of TX switch.
The new functional hook which includes a servo is working and had past the testing phase. It works without any problem with 2kg weight.
